It's a "comedy" on BBC1. Why are you surprised it's fucking shit?

Re: Porridge remake on BBC1
Shame because the BBC brought us Fawlty Towers and Blackadder.

Now we get Miranda and Mrs Browns Boys.

Re: Porridge remake on BBC1
Why on earth would you think a remake of Porridge was a good idea?
Astonishing

Can only think they have seen the new scripts for Miranda and become clinically depressed and lost all judgement.

I hope they've toned down the language in the remake.

Re: Porridge remake on BBC1
Saw 10 minutes and it's fucking tragic. Everything about it is wrong. From the rotten delivery of lines (much too fast), the poor standard of acting and the overly bright lighting. None of it works.
The BBC should shut down its 'comedy' department 'cos it
clearly hasn't a clue.

I watched 5 minutes of it. Terrible. Re-booting great series' from the past never works but they don't seem to learn.

Miranda
Citizen Khan
That thing with the transsexual (shudders!)

Anyone see a connection? Apart from their being completely unfunny.

As for Mrs Brown's Boys if it was English it would be A SEXIST AND RACIST DISGRACE! But as it is a Scottish show with an Irish cast, see above.
